Gerard Gallagher works for the Archdiocese of Dublin in the Office for Evangelisation & Ecumenism as Pastoral Coordinator specialising in the area of Youth & Young Adult Ministry. He is passionate about generating new ideas in the area of pastoral ministry, especially among young adults. He was a member of the team that delivered the Year of Evangelisation Programme in Dublin (2009) and was a member of the Local Planning Committee for the International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin 2012. He has led many groups to World Youth Day and will lead a group to Panama in 2019. He is currently working with the World Meeting of Families 2018 Committee. A frequent writer on youth ministry and Church, he is the author of two books, Are we losing the Young Church? (Columba Press, 2005) and Your Child’s Confirmation (Redemptorist Publications, 2012). Gerard is married and has three teenage children.
